Pro tip: Cleaning glaze out of holes

You don’t need expensive tools for pottery. As a member of Sunken Studio in 2019 and 2020, I picked up lots of tips about budget and handmade tools - from whittling chopsticks for sculpting, to repurposing vegetable peelers to carve clay.

One of my favourite repurposed tools is the interdental toothbrush. It’s perfect for cleaning glaze out of tiny holes, including Christmas decorations, berry bowls, tealight holders… Credit goes to Rebecca at Sunken Studio for this pro tip!

PS: I also have it on good authority that pipe cleaners work equally well.
